Sylvia Bews-Wright draws and paints from her studio in Victoria, BC.
Sylvia’s work is always in the form of a series of paintings based on a large idea which sustains her interest and keeps her exploring for a period of time. Water has been a frequent theme, from The August Project to Christa’s Pond. Travels inspire other series as do world politics and her intent is always to feel she has painted herself out of the current “big idea” and can then move on to the next one.
